Riotorto is a town hall located northwest of the province of Lugo, included in the region of Meira and a few kilometers from the Mariña Lucense, in a transition zone between the coast and the interior. Nearby are A Pontenova, Meira, Vilanova de Lourenzá, Mondoñedo, Trabada and A Pastoriza
From the Carracedo peak, located in the limits with the municipality of Mondoñedo, we descend through Santalla, Vilaseca, O Vilar de Santiago, Santa Marta de Meilán, until we reach the nucleus or capital: As Rodrigas. To the east are A Moxoeira and A Augaxosa. Continuing towards Meira we pass through Espasande de Abaixo and already going up, Ferreiravella and Aldurfe, the closest parish to Terra Chá; and at the other end to Órrea and Galegos, already in the Val do Eo.
The beautiful natural landscapes, forests and streams as well as churches, chapels, cabozos and some noble houses preside over the entire town hall.
Equally important is the gastronomic culture and the tradition of the festivities. And Álvaro Cunqueiro has given good faith in his literary works or Avelino Díaz in his poems.

But if something has characterized and characterizes these lands, it is their long tradition in iron work. In the city hall almost twenty ferreiros keep a trade of centuries of history alive and with their forges, mallets and molars confer uniqueness to this landscape.
Iron and nature, leisure, tranquility and gastronomy. Riotorto, a land by and to discover.
